Clara is the new Mexican unicorn. The business expense management startup received a $ 70 million Series B funding round led by Coatue , the investment fund behind some tech companies like ByteDance (TikTok), deel and, most recently, Bitso.
Party Round is building software that it hopes will make the process of raising early-stage corporate capital far simpler than it is today. And the company just used its own service to raise $7 million. A host of names took part in the, well, party round, including Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six fund, Anish Acharya from a16z, along with checks from groups like Shrug Capital. Angels took part as well, including writers-cum-investors Packy McCormick and Austin Rief, and well-known folks like Emilie Choi and Nik Sharma.
We are also announcing our $60m Series A funding round, which comprised over $20m in equity, and a $40m flexible debt facility from TriplePoint Capital. Participating investors include The Treasury, GFC, Torch Capital, TI Platform Management, PruVen Capital, Fin VC, Bain Capital Ventures, SWS Ventures among other notable investors.
Wander, a new startup that lets users rent smart homes across the country, raised $7 million in funding, the company said Wednesday.
